I get sent all kinds of stuff – most of it by people who have obviously never bothered to read the page, or even taken the time to establish what it’s all about.

Don’t get me wrong, I like to think I am as eclectically open-minded as the next astute, demagogic demigod…

Vulgarians bassist Jodie Smith, is exactly the calibre of enlightened artist I want to hear from!

Debut single ‘Wet Juice’ is a discordant masterpiece, guaranteed to set my sap flowing.

This has it all, ticks all the boxes; the chiming smouldering diabolique intro, the whimsical 70’s detective series theme hint, the thundering cacophony, the skewed lyrics and twisted, tormented vocal, the musical prowess, the elemental parts that make the homogenous, shuddering whole.

‘Wet Juice’ extols in measured menace, a vertiginous 3 minutes and 54 second, operatic triumph.

And I want more…

Vulgarians are a criminally as yet unsigned, 4 piece from Hull – they are set to burn bright, catch them on tour with The Wytches.
