The Underground Youth return with yet another vinyl masterpiece, their latest triumph, in the shape of ‘Haunted’.
Such is the buzz, for those in the know, around The Underground Youth – that the Fuzz Club Records deluxe vinyl edition of 100, sold out immediately on the day the pre-order was announced, one of which plays before me as I write this.
I appreciate that people generally make the pilgrimage TO Ireland, but this was one divine intervention I was not going to miss for anything…
Two years in the making and the day finally arrives for the official unveiling of the debut album by Sonic Jesus – ‘Neither Virtue Nor Anger’. (Full LP Review to follow).
In a repeat of last year’s Fuzz Club Stage billing at Eindhoven Psych Lab, Sonic Jesus and The Underground Youth take The Waiting Room by storm, for this Bad Vibrations & Fuzz Club Records presentation.
It seems like a thousand centuries ago since The Underground Youth held me in their spell at Eindhoven Psych Lab.
After what feels like one of the longest pre-orders in history, the wait is nearly over and the ache is soon to be sated.
‘Naked’ is the first release from the forthcoming EP ‘Beautiful & Damned’ due out on Fuzz Club Records on the 25th of October.
As with all great bands, ‘Naked’ feels like The Underground Youth never went away, just withdrew into stately repose where they have crafted yet another trademark marble edifice. I am not talking here about marble in the cold, austere sense but rejoicing in the warm sumptuous folds of a Baroque Canova sculpture.
